What to Expect at Westview
Christian Church

Our services,
which we would prefer to call "Gatherings"
are based upon the HOLY BIBLE; what we believe is God's
Inspired word. We celebrate Communion at each Sunday Morning
Worship and visitors as well as members are invited to partake
as the emblems are passed, letting your heart be the Judge of
whether or not you should partake.
You'll find a
lot of Music at our services as well, as the Bible says to
make a joyful sound unto the Lord. The words to the songs are
projected on a screen for those that don't know them. Come
and join us for Song and God's word.

During our Sermon, we project
elements of the sermon and bible verses onto a screen at the
front of the church so that you can follow along with the
sermon. In addition, on the back of the bulletin, we
have an outline printed so that when you leave church, you
take with you a tangible reminder of the message.
Some Sundays, we will enhance our worship experience with a
multimedia presentation based upon the sermon topic.
COMMUNION EXPLAINED:
Westview Christian Church holds
communion (The Lord's Supper) every Sunday, during our worship
services. Our table is not the table of Westview
Christian Church, but instead the table of the Lord and we
invite you to participate following biblical principals.
Communion is for Baptized
believers of Jesus Christ and is regarded as a scared time in
our worship. Trays are passed through our members and
visitors which contain a small wafer, representing the Bread
(body) and a small emblem of juice, representing the Wine,
(blood).
As the emblems are passed, you
are invited to partake according to your heart and your
belief. The Bible says that each should examine himself
before he participates in communion.
We offer the following verses:
1
Corinthians 11:23-26
For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The
Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when
he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body,
which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same
way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the
new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in
remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink
this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
1
Corinthians 11:27-30
Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of
the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning
against the body and blood of the Lord. A man ought to examine
himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. For
anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the
Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many
among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen
asleep.
If you have
questions about this, please call and speak to one of our
Ministers so that they can address your questions on a more
personal level.
