"And
the gospel must first be preached to all nations."
Mark 13:10
"And
repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his
name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses
of these things.”
(Luke 24:47-48)
"You will be my witnesses
in Jerusalem, and in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
(Acts 1:8)
The Bible clearly instructs
Christians to go forth with the gospel and witness to the world. At
Westview, we are committed to doing just that, not only in our local
community but in other areas as well. Through a cooperation effort of
other Christian organizations, we CAN make a difference.
Missions that we are involved
in and supporting in some form are:

We believe that our work starts at home; in our own church,
so we are involved in helping our members and those in our community with
needs as they are discovered. If we feed a man a fish, he eats for
that one day, but if we can teach him to fish, he eats for a lifetime.
Westview helps people learn to help themselves.

When does Life begin? We believe that life begins at
conception and that abortion must be stopped. There "are" alternatives
and the Crisis Pregnancy Center works with young women to find find
solutions to an unwanted pregnancy through God's Love.

The Choice of a College is one of the most significant
decisions a student can make and we believe that a CHRISTIAN EDUCATION can
have a huge impact upon the life of the student. Westview is committed
to spreading the Gospel by assisting those institutions that train up those
that will enter the ministry.

A RESCUE RANCH FOR AT-RISK CHILDREN AND YOUTH! Children
are the mission of this ministry and through their work, they are reaching
children and youth from fractured families by providing a safe home with
love, guidance and the skills necessary to live a productive life.
Sunbelt is in need of financial support, as well as Christian couples to
help meet the demands for more house parents. The need continues to
grow and your support makes the difference.

RIDING THE ROAD FOR CHRIST, the Circuit Riders Ministry is reaching
out to Bikers and Prisoners in places that most churches don't venture.
Jesus said he didn't come for the Righteous, but for the sinners. We
believe that they are making a difference and we're happy to be a part of
their missions team.

We can think of no greater mission for Westview than helping
take care of Children in need. Every year, thousands of At-Risk boys and
girls are placed in the care of someone other than their own biological
families. Reasons vary as to why, but their needs are much the same.
Children need a safe home, loving guidance and a place that will allow them
to become well adjusted and productive adults. Learn more about this
program and pray about how you might get involved.

Hands of Love Deaf Ministry is an outreach ministry to the
deaf and hard-of-hearing. Their mission is to bring deaf and
hard-of-hearing young adults into relationships with Jesus Christ through
outreach events, friendships and mentoring; to pour ourselves into them,
modeling faith-based Christ following, teaching and discipline them so that
they can leave High School with a personal, sustainable faith in God. We
will equip believing teens to become faith-filled leaders wherever they go,
and work to draw skeptical teens toward an understanding of God’s love for
them. Click

Camp
Clearwater, operated by the Central Louisiana Christian Service Camp
Association is a cooperative between several Christian Churches in
Louisiana, providing a SUMMER CAMP experience to our youth and children.
At Westview, we consider this a missions
project as well as an outreach ministry. As a missions project, we are
joining with other churches to support and build the camp.
As an outreach ministry, we use this as an opportunity to bring area youth
into a summer program that they might not otherwise have the opportunity to
participate in, if they were not involved in our ministry. Learn more
about this project by clicking on the Camp Link under NEWS/EVENTS or on the
logo above.
