The Commission . . .

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."  Matthew 28:19-20

The Message . . .

Jesus said to him, Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." Luke 19:9-10

The Blessing . . .

"But whoever drinks the water I given him will never thirst. Indeed the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." John 4:14

Purpose:
We encourage and support our members' passions for reaching out to those in our community to make a difference right here in Shreveport and Bossier City.

YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:
What is your call?  Often the programs that we get involved in begin with the suggestion and commitment of a member that feels they are being GOD LED to get involved in a program as a ministry outreach.  The opportunities are endless, but we need committed folks to step up to the plate and make it happen.     We encourage and need your participation to make a difference.  The following programs are part of what we're doing locally.

PROVIDENCE HOUSE
814 Cotton Street
Shreveport, Louisiana  71101            318-221-7887

Providence House is a residential development center for homeless families with children, providing comprehensive support services for improving the family structure and moving the family into independent living.  The Lord who created you says: "Fear not, I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine." (Isaiah 43:1)  Our vision is to be a catalyst for change so no family in our community is homeless. We will fullfill our vision by providing all families an opportunity to thrive as equal members of our community through engaging the community to perform acts of compassion, empowerment, and advocacy.

During the month of SEPTEMBER-2008, Westview will be collecting items for Providence House.  There will be a large collection container in the welcome center for your items.  Here are just a few of the Items needed.
