Westview Youth Ministry Needs YOU!
CHECK THE CURSOR TAIL OUT ON
THIS PAGE!
No matter what you do, the cursor tail follows you.
It's always there. Perhaps this is a good illustration
as to God's Presence in your life. You can try to run,
you can try to hide and you might do things that God doesn't
want you to do, but still, he's there. All you have to
do is slow down to feel his presence. Play with the
cursor and see what we're talking about.

Have you ever felt that you were all alone and no one knew you
very well or cared abut you at all? We know that feeling
and get that feeling every time we go some place we've never
been before. If you are looking for direction in your
life and some really great friends, the Junior/Senior High
Ministry is the place for you. It is scary, at first,
but once you plug in, you can't imagine how you ever got along
before.

Making friends is our whole goal. We want
you to have a relationship with God. We want you to
begin to see how a relationship with God makes life work a lot
better. You will gain insight to this lifestyle through
Bible Study opportunities.

Westview's Junior/Senior High Ministry exists
to reach out to 6th through 12th grade students with the
radical love of Jesus, allowing them to experience real
friendships while teaching them to uplift God through their
worship, grow to be more like Jesus, and use their gifts to
serve others and the church.
Middle School Student Ministry
Our desire in our Middle School Student Ministry is to provide
a safe environment where youth feel comfortable being
themselves, get to know one another better, and are challenged
to know God in a deeper way.
Our ministry is for students in grades 6 - 8 and is held on
Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 7:20 pm. The structure of this
time is focused on growing in understanding relationships,
fellowship, and God's word and how it impacts us today.
Events throughout the year consist of retreats, church camp,
Six Flags, lock-ins, service projects, and much more.
To
learn more about our Middle School Student Ministry call our
church office to talk to our youth minister.

Right after worship services, in mid July, a group of our youth and
leaders departed for Southern Mississippi to participate in a
city-wide Vacation Bible School and work on the rebuilding
efforts on the Gulf Coast.
HIGH SCHOOL CAMPING/CANOE TRIP
High School students went camping August 14-15 in Glenwood, Arkansas.
We camped out for the night and canoed down the Caddo River on
Friday morning before returning to Shreveport.
